Who we are
Trésor Vault rents designer clutches for weddings and events from Lagos, Nigeria. This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use this website and book with us, and what we do with it. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number and Instagram handle (if you give it).
- Your booking details: the piece, dates, occasion, delivery address (if you choose delivery) and any notes you send.
- Payment records: amounts, dates and payment references. We do not see or store your card details — online payments are handled by our payment provider.
- Files you send us, such as a screenshot of a bank transfer.
- Basic technical data needed to run the site securely (for example your IP address, kept briefly for fraud and abuse prevention).
Why we use it
- To hold, confirm and manage your booking, and to contact you about it (email, WhatsApp or SMS).
- To take and refund payments and deposits, and to keep financial records we are required to keep.
- To let you know if a date you asked about becomes available, if you joined a waitlist.
- To keep the site secure.
We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need: our website host (Cloudflare), our email provider, our messaging provider and our payment provider. Some of these may process data outside Nigeria under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting purposes (usually 6 years). Other personal details are removed when you ask us to, or when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (we will remove your identity from our records, keeping only the financial entries the law requires). Email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
